When the opportunity to shoot not one, not two, but THREE gorgeous couples presented itself, we couldn’t help but jump at the chance. Heather, Lindsay, and Kristin are sisters and were looking for some fun portraits to use as a gift for their mom. The girls and their boys – Dave, Chris, and Fahad – were a complete blast to work with and quite frankly the images speak for themselves. We had a great time.
Originally this shoot was scheduled to take place in Manchester, CT but upon arriving at the location a little bit early to scope things out, we discovered that the place was packed with people and therefore not an ideal situation. Plan B was Elizabeth Park in West Hartford, CT which not only gave us a bit more space to work but also had some really poppin’ colors. We wrapped up the shoot a few blocks away at the UConn Law School campus.
By the way, all of these were shot with the Canon 7D. I’m loving it. Paired up with a good piece of glass and you have yourself a contender.
So thanks again gang for a great shoot. Hope we can meet up again soon!
This Sunday we had a great opportunity to shoot a fun little engagement session with Jen and Cristhian in West Hartford, CT. It was a gorgeous day with plenty of sunshine and smiles all around. Oooh, and they brought along their cute little doggy. We had a blast.
There were so many fun moments from this shoot, I thought it would be nice to create a little movie of a few alternate takes I couldn’t fit here. Turn up your speakers and press play! By popular demand, we are excited to offer professional high-definition DVD slideshows of any event, even if we weren’t the photographer -- but they come out especially good if we were.
Thanks guys, we’ll see you in a few weeks for a follow-up “urban” session… can’t wait!
Pam and Dan are one of Connecticut’s hot new couples getting married in 2010. We had an opportunity to meet up with them in beautiful Glastonbury, CT and took a few quick shots. We can’t wait to photograph their wedding in August!
Man, the colors were insane today.
“Mmmm… delicious adidas jacket!”
And there you have it. Thanks guys, it was a blast and we’ll see you in August!
About three weeks ago we met up with Nina, Nic, Rory, and Aubrey in Enfield, CT for a meeting to discuss some details about Nina & Nic’s up-and-coming wedding which we’re super excited about shooting in June.
It was one of those simply gorgeous days – the colors were popping! – and so we just had to take the opportunity for a few candid portraits.
PS – Rory and Aubrey are adorable with their fiery red hair!
This past weekend we had a blast shooting the adorable Madison and handsome Hayden. Madison is a natural model. She positions herself into the cutest poses… it was impossible to just pick a few to post here. And look at those eyes and cheeks! So so so cute.
What a doll!
Hayden too! He has more energy than the Energizer Bunny but even so he’s no match for my camera which stops light in hundredths and thousandths of a second.
It was quite the experience getting the kiddies to sit still with mom and dad for a moment but the smiles make it all worthwhile.
Thanks guys for a super fun afternoon. We had a lot of fun and hope to do it again soon!
I have about a hundred billion secret shooting locations in Hartford but, oddly, none in West Hartford. Well, it’s time to change that! At the suggestion of this Sunday’s stylin’ couple Nicole and Jonathan, we hit up Blue Back Square for some urban shooting goodness. Accompanied by their large and friendly Mastiff named Hogan we nailed a few great photos while trying not to turn into icicles. It was definitely a ton of fun and I hope we can do it again soon!
This next one I believe is my favorite from the day. Seriously, it looks like it could be a Ray Ban advertisement.
And now it is.
Hey guys, maybe we should send this one in to White House | Black Market for their catalog or something. I should mention that I gave only the vaguest of instructions, if any at all, on how to pose in any of these shots… Nicole and Jon just knew instinctively what to do. I think the results speak for themselves!
You might be wondering what a photographer does on the afternoon of Superbowl Sunday prior to the game. Well, he does what he loves: portraits! We had a great time shooting Bella and her mom, first indoors and then outdoors. It isn’t easy to pick out my favorites to post on the ol’ blog but here are a few samples. Look at that smile!
Okay, now I want to swing too.
Brr it was so cold outside but Bella was a real trooper. I guess I’d be a trooper too if I had a lollipop like that. Mmmm…

Hot on the heels of last weekend’s wonderful portrait session, this Saturday we had a great chance to spend some time with an incredibly energetic set of twins, Delaney and Reagan. We threw a bunch of toys into the equation and wouldn’t you know it, they warmed up for the camera quickly!
When I grow up, I’m gonna be a basketball star… and I’m gonna be her agent! Show me the money!!
Then we hopped outside just in time to get some of that late-afternoon golden sun. How cute they are!
Gunther joined in for a game of catch!
Strike a pose!
Off they go into the sunset. Thanks girls for a wonderful session!
This Saturday we had a great opportunity to shoot two wonderful kids. The idea was to catch the kids doing what they do best with almost no posing. We spent about three hours in three different locations and we kicked things off in the library.
This next one is probably my favorite from the whole day.
Then we moved things outside and really got the party started.
This looks like the most delicious marshmallow-lollipop of all time.
We wrapped up the day back at home, starting with a mighty stretch.
Priceless! Thanks girls for a wonderful session. Hope to see you again soon!
